Update: pin 1 on controller reads 38.3 volts, so my question is, is me controller bad?

But my controller doesn't light up, so I know it's getting power in, but no light tells there's no power coming out...is there anyway to diagnose the controller better???

Re: 1997 Ez-Go TXT Series
Lemme see if I can catch up here? Put test lead + on pin #1 and - test lead on B-. You should have 38v when the solenoid clicks? yes or no

Re: 1997 Ez-Go TXT Series
Put the test leads on B- and M- and watch the meter as you press the peddle. When the solenoid clicks you should have 36v & that voltage should go to 0 as you press the gas down.... yes?

Re: 1997 Ez-Go TXT Series
If 36v when the solenoid clicks and then down to 0 as the peddle is depressed your controller & solenoid are working ... look elsewhere for your problem, F&R?

ScottyB, I still am wondering if the controller is malfunctioning, because the cart was working fine when I went out to test m- and b- this morning! If it stops running I'll test it then again to see! How can I rule out the FnR switch
