48 volt CC no power to small terminals on solenoid
I'm not able to get any power to the small terminals on solenoid with pedal engaged. i recently upgraded to a 7119 motor/controler/solenoid/f&r/cables and after the install i'm stuck at this point. does the main negative wire (coming from battery) have to pass through the obc? the head on the new 4ga wire was to big so i ran it around instead of through. i know it sounds crazy but i've tried everything...

Re: 48 volt CC no power to small terminals on solenoid
Running the big cable around the OBC should not effect the solenoid activation so long as the OBC is still operational. The OBC does supply the negative side of the activation circuit.
Check the solenoid when you press the gas, are you missing the + or the - side on the small terminals? |

. . . and bypassing the OBC eliminates the computer's ability to monitor your battery usage . . .

Re: 48 volt CC no power to small terminals on solenoid
i'm missing both... I dont get any sort of reading when the pedal is pushed. all i have is a red wire and a yellow wire. i noticed your drawing has both of those together being the positive with a blue and black being the negative. I don't have the blue and black wire - just a red and yellow? am i missing something?
the hd f&r switch is brand new so i doubt it's the microswitches in reference to the obc - it is controlling the charger by kicking it on with the charger plugged into the wall and with the charger not plugged into the wall. and thanks for your time and help on this. it is really appreciated. i have spent hours and hours trying different things and reading this forum. |

The picture is instructional - apply the theory not the colors.

Re: 48 volt CC no power to small terminals on solenoid
Ok so i had the two white wires (one has a small black strip on it while the other is solid) backwards on the 1st and 3rd microswitch. once corrected power was given to the small terminals on the solenoid when the pedal was engaged and the wheels turned.
Once the snow clears here in ky ill give everyone a performance update on my 7119 amd motor/controller/hd f&r/solenoid/4ga cable upgrade...1200 package so i hope to see a big difference |
