Pre Mix your fuel. If you are not allready.A bad oil pump can turn a ok cart in to a lawn ornament. Good luck and good carting.

i took the cable nut off the cable and the spring has lots of compression so i just adjusted it so it gets max thro open and the valve is completely closed. You said that might cause backfire and as i had said it does backfire. But when i took of the accelerator linkage i also took off the boot from the carb to the air intake and there was gas in the boot. i am guessing that it got there because the gate wouldn't close all the way.
