I think I figured out why my charger wouldn't charge as quickly as it should.
Over the weekend my daughter rolled the cart out of the garage by hand while playing, she didn't realize the charger was plugged in. The charger was off but during the action, the charger caught on fire. As I assessed the damage, the cord from the charger to the cart burned in two and much of it is destroyed. Several wires inside the charger were burned as well. The cart and the kids are fine.
I think what happened is I had a weak spot/short in the power cord from the charger to the cart so the full current wasn't getting to the cart to charge it. The cart is a 1991 and the charger is an old Lester which could be original. When she rolled the cart back, it stretched the cord more causing it to short and start the fire. I expect once I source a "new" charger we'll be fine. Just putting a note out there in case someone has similar issues they might want to check their power cord from the charger to the cart

The DPI Accusense is a good choice, it is what I use.

I was looking at that one. I have a friend that works for a golf resort that might be able to hook me up with a used charger, I'm still weighing my options.
