Re: Cart Won't Move but Tries
Can u further explain what u mean here. Are u saying that the resistor will lock up the cart (not roll) or does that mean the resistor is bad or the noid is bad or both are bad and not allowing the cart to function properly??? Is this the way to test resistor or noid or its???

Re: Cart Won't Move but Tries
I'm sure they are not locked but maybe dragging some and I had the hubs off when I started putting this cart together but when I spin the tires on my cart they spin at least 25% easier and longer than this cart. Plus the fact that I can grab either wheel when spinning (jacked up) by 1 hand and stop it also concerns me. But all these suggestions are giving me ammo to fire at the cart, thanks.

Re: Cart Won't Move but Tries
I think Pete meant that the solenoid is bad and the only reason the cart is moving at all is because of the resistor across the two big terminals. Take the resistor off and it probably won't move at all.

Re: Cart Won't Move but Tries
Thanks after reading a few times I was going to try that; I had carried a new noid to cart yesterday but it got to dark to install so brought cart home. This will be 1st thing I check today.

Re: Cart Won't Move but Tries
I removed the resistor and didn't make any difference, cart still tried to move and only able to move a few inches.

Re: Cart Won't Move but Tries
bad motor ? could be dirty , bushings bad
first jack up rear of cart to get tires off ground put cart in forward , press pedal , feel motor for movement and heat ... hot not good give it a whack with a rubber mallet next would be remove motor and see if it runs at speed (quick on/off of power) to make sure the gears are not binding also while your there take tires and hubs off and try it |

Re: Cart Won't Move but Tries
The cart is fixed, bad controller. Story is ignition switch shorted out and then cart was towed home, probably to fast and killed controller. Replaced controller with Curtis from my cart that worked and almost ran over myself when I pressed the pedal. (standing next to cart) Appreciate the help will now check brakes because it is to hard to push, thanks all.
