Thanks for the info Guys! I will hopefully have some time to try out tonight. I guess if controller is bad what is the best source to replace? The shop Ive been to here (Dallas) has been pretty pricey. Will update with findings - Looks like Im going to be hunting Easter electrical gremlins instead of eggs this weekend!

What was the outcome of your testing? I have a car that the pre charge resistor gets hot as soon as you hook up the batteries. You don't have to turn the key or drive the cart. I ohmed the big posts on the solenoid and it shows continuity with the solenoid unhooked and resistor removed from the solenoid. It acts like it somewhat closed all the time. I see one person says this could cause the resistor to get hot. Thanks guys.
