Expected Range
While I know that no one can give me an exact range but I was wondering just how many miles could I expect to see?
Cart specifics 2011 Excel with 22" mud tires, brand new CR-220 Crown batteries (equal to Trojan T-105), Plum Quick Executioner motor, 2 gauge cables with super duty solenoid and a 500 amp Curtis controller with speeds kept between 20 and 25 MPH on mostly flat paved road.... |

Re: Expected Range
A factory stock golf cart is designed to run about 3 times around the course I believe, around 20 miles. This is with two riders, 12 mph on paved paths.
Everything you added for more performance will probably to deduct from that unless you increase the capacity of the battery pack. Your taller tires take more amps to turn, the aftermarket motor is also pulling more amps as well. If you get 15-18 miles you are doing good IMO. |

Re: Expected Range
Thanks... Even a WAG is a good start... I know that I need to simply start going further and further distance from the house and back to see what its limits are.... We've got a gun range about 6 or 7 miles away that I'd like to be able to round trip in the cart when the urge strikes....

Re: Expected Range
It's going to be hard if not impossible to predict. The only thing we know for sure is that you have 6 volt Crown batteries. The Executioner according to Plum Quick is a 48v motor. Do you use 8 six volt batteries. Also PQ doesn't publish its HP ratings. You would have to measure the current draw of the motor to determine the HP.
