Re: amp draw on 48 volt
Yeah , I agree, but in my case the Plum Fast came with the Cart .
So now that I have retired I make sure I know what to expect before I spend a $1. Tight as the Bark on a tree :) |

Re: amp draw on 48 volt
The 400 amp controller on my 04 Club Car alone gave an increase to almost 24 mph on a stock motor and a serious amount of torque. This is an IQ cart. Scotty, that 650 amp is going to impress you, wait and see! |

Re: amp draw on 48 volt
The controller added 2 to 3 mph and a lot of torque. Before i average about 26mph with 4 people and now its around 28 and gets there twice as quick. It will spin the tire in the grass also. I have large tires on it. 13" honda accord rims and tires. I am still playing with the settings for it. I will have more time over the weekend and will check it with gps and full charge on batts

Re: amp draw on 48 volt
What would cause my 2010 Club Car Precedent 48 volt motor to draw enough excessive amps to put one of the four LiFeO batteries into "Protective Mode"?

Re: amp draw on 48 volt
If it's only putting one of the batteries into protection then you probably have a defective battery. Would help if you told us what battery you have so that we can look up the specs. Are they 4x12v batteries or 4x48v batteries?

Re: amp draw on 48 volt
Those lifepo4 batteries have a BMS on them that is only rated for about 100 amps. If you pull more than that it goes into protect mode. You need to dial down the controller.

Re: amp draw on 48 volt
This is an old thread but how do you know that? No mention is made of what batteries were used.
