Default battery meter

Could someone give me some info on which battery meter to put on my cart to know when the battery is going to need charged. I bought 1 on eBay what a piece of *&%## not accurate at all and you have to disconnect it every time you charge the battery to reset it. I want a good one that will work and last a long time. Thanks again for all your help!!!! oh by the way I have a Yamaha G29 golf cart.

I purchased the one in the link below and compared it to a high end bench top multimeter and it was right on at 48V. It did have a bit of linearity issues where it would be a bit low at the lower voltages and high at the higher voltages (talking less than a 200-300mV difference). I'm sure the accuracies of each unit will vary slightly. There are also different colors available.

I got mine from scottyb at carts unlimited. I run a auxiliary battery and wired a on off on switch. on one side of the switch I can see my pack voltage, flip it and check the auxiliary battery. flip to off and no battery drain.

Thank you for supporting the sponsors who keep the lights on here at BGW. Without these sponsors ... well you know.

You don't have to disconnect the battery to reset it. Charge the cart with the key on and it will reset after about an hour or so.

Can anyone tell me how I can put the picture of my cart on here so it's on the left side of a thread with your question? Thanks all!!!

On the left side of this page near the top click on "User CP". On the next page on the left side will be "your control panel". Under "settings and options" click on "edit avatar". Follow the instructions.

It's probably best to use a picture/graphic etc stored on your computer as opposed to a third party hosting service. Google the recent photobucket controversy in case you haven't heard.
