Sorry I thought you had ordered it from EV because they get about the same thing for shipping. How about mouser?

I did not try either thermistor from Mouser. The one has a ring terminal that is way too small, and the other one requires soldering in the termistor + a ring terminal. If you were doing many of these, and had the skills, it might be cost effective. But if replacing one time or only occasionally it's easier to buy the 475-0348 trim off the excess wire and splice it in. I used heat shrink butt connectors.

Agreed in the ease. Was just looking at cheaper options. Not sure why those companies charge so much for shipping but it’s more than the price of the part.

Shipping doesn't have to be expensive, especially for small, light items. Sometimes a company has all shipping contracted with one carrier and doesn't price shop shipping as you or I might when shipping an item. Some companies add "handling" fees as part of the shipping cost. When I ordered my thermistor I asked them to ship USPS as I knew it would be cheaper and get here faster, but they refused.

I can't complain too much because Fullriver was helpful and I have a working charger!

Many big companies don't really cater to small customers, so handling charges are a large part of s/h charges. Profit based on handling man-hours is probably too low to justify lower costs.

I have several local places to get components, but they are 1/2 hour drive each way, plus my time, so I'm getting more and more comfortable paying more for s/h than for the component.

Sad thing is, you can often get something shipped halfway around the world cheaper than you can get something shipped from a few zip codes away, if you are patient enough to wait for the slow boat from China.

The thing about is, EV has it on eBay for $26.00 and free shipping. I had to have one and it save me a couple of bucks.
