Head Gasket for flathead
Has anyone ever used cork or any other material to make a new gasket for the old flatheads. I wasn't sure if you could, or any input would be great thanks again..

Re: Head Gasket for flathead
generally speaking head gaskets (engine head gaskets) are 1 time use and multi layered. After being torqued the gasket is compressed. Is a replacement gasket not offered for what you are working on?

Re: Head Gasket for flathead
I was just having a hard time finding one. And when I did it was like $90. That’s why I was curious if anyone else had made their own or just bite the the bullet and pay $90.
