FYI for future reference for anyone reading this post, motor failure is far more common than controller failure when pulling a car in the RUN position. Controller failure can occur, but in my experience it's much more rare than a burnt up motor.

Thanks TahoeDawgZ71. Will see about controllers next. We just ended up with three bad motors: two that were towed in run position and one that gives us a motor stall fault and failed testing of continuity.
