immediate voltage drop new batteries 95club
i recently bought a modz charger 48 v for a 95 clubcar, all new batteries, wired in lights , and a new pentiometer. The charger wont turn off meaning the batteries have not takin a full charge , the battery meter says full after 10 hrs of charging . if i leave the charger off for 8 hours i come back to half dispaly on the battery meter and 44.9 volts . Do i need to bypass the obc? the charger is for both with and with out obc? or did i miss something else/

Re: immediate voltage drop new batteries 95club
Once I had a new set of Trojans that the first charge went for 14 hours ! As long as the pack voltage is not exceeding 65v I would let them go. They are probably drawing a very little amperage at the end of the charge

44.9 is dead! Something is very wrong here. Measure the individual batteries. Maybe one is defective.

27 year old cart…. Have you replaced the cables? If they’re still the original cables in the cart that could definitely be a problem even if the ends look okay. Maybe a bad cable or bad connection? What are the individual battery voltages? Are you positive they’re wired correctly and one of them isn’t backwards?

Did you hook up a battery backwards? Check every cable connection - to +
If you did not bypass the OBC, you need to do that. |

Re: immediate voltage drop new batteries 95club
Something is wrong with those first 3 batteries. Silly question maybe… Are you sure they are 8 volt batteries? 6.4v would be right at perfectly charged for a good 6v battery
