Club Car Alltrax solenoid issue
Have a Precedent with an Alltrax XCT300 controller. Car is shuddering and not moving. I went through troubleshooting with Alltrax and the controller is not sending a ground to the blue/white wire of the solenoid. Looks like controller is bad and I think it’s out of warranty. My question is what issues would I encounter if I just jump a ground to the blue/white solenoid wire.
I tested it and the solenoid engages when I jump the blue white wire and the cart runs. I think in that case the solenoid would stay engaged whenever the key is in the on position. Instead of buying a new controller, would just jumping the blue/white to ground work ok? |

Re: Club Car Alltrax solenoid issue
Bad idea! The reason for the solenoid is safety - if the controller fails full on, you want that solenoid to open if you take your foot off the gas. Get it fixed properly.
