When Were These Batteries Made
I cannot find anywhere describing how to read the date code on these Brute Force 8v batteries. Can anyone help?

Adding another photo of a possible date code.

Re: When Were These Batteries Made
Look for a single letter and single numeral stamped on or near the negative terminal. For example D7 would be April 2017.

Re: When Were These Batteries Made
Look like 2021 to me based on the 5 digit code on the side. D may be April?
The manufacturer is probably the only one who would be able to tell you for certain. Majority of the time they have a small sticker somewhere, but some manufacturers like Johnson Controls or Exide just burn the code into the case on the side. The long serial # stamped in the top may have a date code in it as well, but more likely is a batch code for the manufacturer to be able to look up in case of warranty issues. |
