Patch from the back is the best but some you can plug or slime.

Re: Tire Repair of pinhole......
Many years ago I ran all sorts of atv tires in the desert. I carried an assortment of coarse thread sheet metal screws and a hand pump for field repairs... most of those repairs were permanent. Just spit on it and send it in. When it stops bubbling it's fixed

Re: Tire Repair of pinhole......
I use Tire Slyme and it works fine on nail holes if they are small. I find the leak first and mark it. Then I put in a good squirt of slyme and put the hole at the lowest point. Then I pump up the tire and let it sit that way for several hours. I have fixed several golf cart tire leaks this way - easy fix. The trick is not to use a lot of it but to make sure that it settles where the leak is and fills in the hole.

Re: Tire Repair of pinhole......
I have used that stuff for years in my mountain bike tires. I used to get lots of flats riding in the Colorado open space - lots of little thorns that made a hole so small it was hard to find it.

I'm not knocking green slime - I've used it - it works... but you don't want to be the guy who takes the tire off the rim next

Re: Tire Repair of pinhole......
It's not so bad if you do it the way I do - only inject a fairly small amount and position the wheel pinhole down. If you use a whole load and spin the tire like they tell you to do, you get it everywhere inside the tire.

Re: Tire Repair of pinhole......
For about the cost of a can of Fix A Flat you can take it to a tire shop and they'll patch it on the inside. My favorite local guys do mine for $15 . On the other hand, Fix A Flat does work on small leaks and remains liquid inside the tire. Effective on stopping small leaks in the future.
