Default Trouble shooting Western golf cart built on 1997 EZGO Model X1875

I obtained some information about my Western cart at the EzGO dealer in Boardman, Ohio. The frame number denotes it is a 1997, Model X1875.

The wheels still do not go around when you depress the throttle. The forward/reverse switch was replaced. The solenoid is new also. Still NO GO.

I am looking to see if there are any posts on here to tell me why the Solenoid does not activate. I have viewed several wiring diagrams. There are NO yellow wires in my harness.

What I can tell you is, when I power the solenoid from the battery the solenoid activates. This permits the throttle peddle works like it should. This gives me reason to believe the solenoid is not getting powered up. Where should I look first to find out why the solenoid is not powering up when the throttle peddle is pushed?

All GC solenoids work the same. When there is battery pack voltage measured between the 2 small posts the solenoid coil sends the contact bar to the big terminals bridging the 2 terminals completing the controller amperage feed.

One small terminal will have + and one will have - when the circuit is activated see which side of the circuit (- or +) you are missing.

Let me rephrase my question. The solenoid works if powered up by other means. My question is where do I start checking to see why it is not getting power? Does the solenoid energize when the key is on or does it energize only when the throttle is pushed with the key on? Where does the energization start for the solenoid?

I know how a solenoid works. Solenoid delivers power by a remote wired switch. I am not sure what the GC solenoid is, but all solenoids are power switching by remote from another light duty switch. can someone please show me where there is a color picture of the Forward reverse switch for my cart. This will show my why my solenoid is not activating. None of the diagrams that I have found appear to have my cart.

GC means Golf Cart.

Do as scotty asked and then we can advise where to look.
