Default A rocker switch for forward and reverse

Hey guys,

I'm adding one of those LOLOL dash plates to my cart (2005 EZGO, 36v) and need a little advice.

I've only been a cart owner for about a week now so forgive my ignorance please.
Anywho, Below is a picture of the front and back sides of the particular plate I'm installing.
It has a 3 pole rocker switch for Forward and reverse.
I'm not certain where those wires should go.

Here is the wiring diagram I am using

In this schematic it looks like MS4 activates reverse? So do I need to wire in the rocker switch so that it also acts as a switch to bridge MS4? Can I keep both switches (I think I can, provided which ever switch is not being used is deactivated by the switch being used?).

Here are pictures of the LOLOL plate and my original plate.....

Thanks for any assistance here.

I don't think you can use that switch on your cart. It has a heavy duty fwd/rev switch as shown in the schematic.

You can use it ... for lights or a fan
But not for F&R control without aso using a reversing contactor.

I literally just installed one of these in my old series yamaha a couple days ago, they are not difficult to install at all with a diagram. you will want a DPDT switch though depending on how you want the reverse buzzer to work. you wire one set of the contacts from the switch to the wires that currently go to your reverse microswitch on your old mechanical forward/reverse lever. and the other goes to the contactor.

I picked on my(72v version) sw202 for like $90 shipped here they have the diodes and resistors for the relays and contactors too..

https://www.sparkytron.com/collectio...ing-contactors

and bought one of these,

https://www.ebay.com/itm/175272061667

and this dpdt switch..
https://www.ebay.com/itm/175485479101

dont forget the diodes for the reversing contactor as well. same size as you would use on the additional regular on off solenoid you already have (or like the heavy duty orange one you linked)
If you dont want to mess with sourcing the parts you can buy it all in a kit from places like carts unlimited too Hes the guy above that made the switch comment and has links in his signature

I bought mine here but I dont know the value you would want for 36v...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/393973959592

You really might want to consider stepping up to 48v with all these upgrades your spending money on. you can use your existing 36v motor and youll get more power and 5-6mph as well...

here is what is actually confusing me in all of this......the diagram you posted above is for SERIES drive system......series drive systems DO NOT have F&R switches on the dash.....they have a mechanical switching lever by your knee.....so the real question now is do you have a SERIES drive OR do you have a sepex drive, in which case you have the wrong diagram posted.

this is the diagram for a SEPEX/PDS Drive system.
