oil chang help for my 91 ezgo 2stroke!!
Is there crank case oil for my cart that I can change? I know its 2stroke but I figured there has to be crank case oil. I just need to know where the oil drain and fill are located.
ALSO where is the fill for the rear end. Thanks |

Re: oil chang help for my 91 ezgo 2stroke!!
The lower end is lubricated by the oil that is mixed with the gasoline, so there is no crankcase oil to drain. You either have an oil pump or you should be premixing oil into the gasoline (not both).
My rear end has a rubber stopper on the differential. This is your filling point. Of course it might be a good idea to replace the diff oil. |

OK I guess they must have changes the design between mine and yours. I am sure a 93 owner will be along to help you out.

Re: oil chang help for my 91 ezgo 2stroke!!
I had this same question last weekend. I opened the drain and nothing was in there to drain out. Dry as a bone. So I jacked it up as far as my jack and some blocks would take it on the side opposite the drain and filled it back up through the drain hole. It took about half a quart, then I put the drain plug back and left it at that. Someone here told me 8-10 oz. was the recommended amount of oil. So, I know I got way more than that in there.
It might not be the right way, but it worked. Good luck! |

Re: oil chang help for my 91 ezgo 2stroke!!
on my 91, i pulled the diff cover off, and the oil was NASTY. there was slime all over the gears. I took about 20 minutes and wiped everything down, spun the whole assembly making sure i got it all. Then I put a new bead of RTV on the cover lip and bolted it back up. then I took out the plug that is about halfway up the side of the diff cover and started filling it with oil till it starts to drain out of the hole you are filling it from.
This is on a 2 stroke cart. I dont know if all the rear ends are the same or not |

There is a very nice thread here
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/ezgo-...a-rearend.html that explains the job. Is is possible that you cannot see the plug as it is buried in dirt? |
