Default Electric won't move (lights, signals work though)

After recharging the batteries form dead with a car charger it looked like everything was fine. The battery meter was completely full and the lights work fine. But pressing the accelerator yields no results, and when going in reverse the cart doesn't beep.

One weird thing: when the accelerator pedal is pressed, the battery meter lights up brighter, and when the cart is off the battery meter remains on for a long time.

Thanks for your help.

That does sound weird, what year and model is this?

It's a 2009 Yamaha Electric Drive.

The normal clicking sound of the accelerator doesn't come on, and when I plugged in the charger the battery strength indicator started blinking.

Only had my 2009 YDRE Yamaha cart for 2 months. I'm a newbie to golf carts so when I pressed the accelerator a few weeks after I got it it wouldn't move either way and thought it was normal. Last night I stopped and now it won't move at all. Any ideas. Thanks
