All or none
Hey guys,
I am a Yamaha guy by default. But grand pa went out and bought a 92 club car. Not familiar with model or engine size. The issue is when you press the gas down even just a little the cart will take off full bore. It's either all or none. Can you guys point me in the right direction. I checked the butterflies in the carb and they are not broke, any other ideas will be great. Otherwise it seems to run fine and will out run all of our carts, grandpa just don't appreciate that as much as we do. Thanks Scott Ross |

Re: All or none
Don't know if this is your problem or not but when I bought my '97 CC I had a similar situation and I found that the accelerator cable, where it comes out of the black box, had the outer jacket separated from the threaded end. I replaced the cable assembly and that fixed it.

Re: All or none
Thanks I will try that. Also forgot to mention when you mash the accel. The engine stay running until you pull the gas pedal back to the proper postion. Not sure if related but may help with diag.

Re: All or none
Found the problem. The carb return spring was gone. I used a rc spring for the exhaust header and it worked fine after a little adjustment.
Thanks for looking. Scott Ross. |
