Default Thanks

Just wanted to thank whoever it was who wrote here how to fix my problem. My 1985 Club Car wouldnt go into reverse all of a sudden. No apparent linkage problems or anything of the sort. Locked wouldnt even move in reverse burning the belts and stalling. I read in this post that one of you guys suggested going forward and then putting it quickly into reverse for a fix. Naturally I was skeptical and wondering if it was somebodies attempt at humor. I tried it just for the heck of it and it worked!!!!! Thanks again forgot who wrote the post!!!

I've had a transmission stuck in reverse on a '05 Turf2 and figured what the heck, if I have to pull it apart anyway. I disconnected the shift cable at the trans and gave the shift arm a whack with a mallet. It worked and the issue never repeated itself after changing the fluid. Still running today.
