Could any of this have to do with the fact that I perhaps spun the a1 post on the motor?

Ive got it wired like the sheet you sent says to, and have added an HD FNR. The wiring should remain the same, no?
Is there a way to troubleshoot this to which component it is?
Building this cart for a customer, and this is my first analog to digital conversion...

The A terminal spun on the motor could be the culprit. The controller is up and sending a green light which means My kit is working perfectly. The controller green light tells me that the solenoid is activating and the controller is correctly programmed and powering up. The amber light tells me that the potentiometer is working correctly. So thanks for the thread title???

I suspect the problem here is in one of the components I did not supply. Perhaps a faulty F&R switch. Troubleshoot it for continuity between the high amp contacts in forward and reverse. Or simply put the old switch that worked back in.

To a continuity test on the motor. Remove all four cables. You should have continuity between the two A terminals and between the two S terminals but no continuity between any A and any S terminal. Checking for unwanted continuity is just as important as checking for continuity, so do both.

Lastly the high amperage cables may have a problem but, this is the last place I would look.

Spun post could mean a broken connection internal to the motor. The A1 and A2 go directly to the brushes. Ohm it out from A1 to A2. Should be very low ohms.

Will test for ohms now. Continuity exists between both s1 and s2, then a1 and a2 respectively. Nothing between any post and the motor shell.
Scotty, sorry, meant nothing bad at all about your products, VERY sorry for any misunderstanding. This is more than likely something Ive done incorrectly, lol.
I will try the known working FNR and clean up the contacts on the motor itself.

Found a snapped brush wire on my a1 post. Guess we found the culprit? lol

One thing everyone needs to be aware of is the possibility to damage your motor posts when you try to remove / replace the wires going to them. You must use TWO wrenches to prevent the post from turning. Once the post turns, you have probably broken the connection inside - either to the brushes or to the field coil. (A or F)

I agree- That warning is on every cable cable diagram I send out.

Over the years I have learned to take a yellow tire marker pen and make a straight line down the middle of the stud on the motor...that way if you are turning the outer nut you can see if the stud is turning...if the line moves the stud is turning...quick and easy.
