Batteries die after a couple of days
Sorry I am completely new to carts, but as I read I see batteries should lose about 1% per day if its just sitting. If I dont have my cart plugged in, it will die completely within a couple days, and it will do this also if it is in tow mode too. It is a 2004 club car precedent with new batteries. Water level is good in all batteries, and when I leave it plugged in and take it out, it does fine.
Any ideas or where/what should I look at? |

You have something drawing current somewhere that should not be. Is your solenoid possibly stuck closed? You should be seeing more like the 1% per day that you mentioned.

It definitely shouldn't drain that quickly. What type of batteries are they?

Do you hear the solenoid click when you hit the gas? If so, it's not stuck. Other way to check is to see if there is voltage across the big terminals when you have the key off.

Reading the first post again and trying to make sense out of the information something just occurred to me...
Are You saying "it will die completely within a couple days" based on a voltage reading of the pack or just because the cart will not run? If it was based on the cart not running, most likely the OBC has put the system to sleep. Next time that happens, just plug the charger wait until it starts and unplug it again. |

Yes. Or cycling the pedal will wake it up as long as the MCOR is good. It may take 5 to 10 seconds after the first pedal cycle before it's awake.
