Default 03 Club car 36 volt stopped moving

The serial # 1B0320-867305, it was working fine in the neighborhood then I reversed it put it in forward and it stopped. I have no reverse and if I am the only one in it and push it to get it going then as I'm going forward with the accelerator all the way down it will barely drive on flat road. My battery's are fine connections fine when I got it home the aluminum rail over the spring coil was very hot. Any help as to what might be wrong I would appreciate it so much.

One of your coils may have failed. Take a look once it cools down.

There's only the box that the throttle linkage goes to that has about five or six coil segments,is that where your referring to? The wires come out of that and go to the bar that is in the picture. Seems that's all there is other then the forward and reverse switch the solenoid and the motor. If so how can I test that?

To be honest I don't know much about that drive system other than each of those coils is a level of speed and they are progressive. If one fails in the chain it can cause issues like you have. I would just see if they are intact.

kgsc is correct the coils burn off speed, wide open no coils are used
no reverse is ether cable or f/r switch
the f/r switch would be where i would start
take it out and see if it is making good contact
