Default Lost top end with 09' CC w/Alltrax XCT48500IQ

I noticed today that my 09 CC w/Alltrax XCT48500IQ Controller wasn't acting normally. Usually I can get 21-23mph out of my stock motor. What clued me into an issue with the cart was the fact that we we casually running up and down the roads and the buzzer would go off for about a fraction of a second. Each time this happened I would lose power for that fraction of a second. So when I opened her up, I noticed a lack of top end speed. I seem to still have the low-end torque but nothing top-end.

So I connected my laptop up to see if anything was going on.I noticed I could only obtain about 96% throttle which is odd...normally 100% and turbo would kick in. Not today however...I made sure I charged the batteries back up again after this mornings run and performed my subsequent tests after getting an almost full charge.

I did notice that the amps dropped down to about 40ish when I drilled it from a start...and most of the time I did this I would get the buzzer beep and momentary power drop.

At this point, I am at a loss as to what to check next. Any ideas from the group would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Enable the error log and see what shows up.

Will do tomorrow but I thought it was already on. Will double check either way.

Have you washed it recently? I would work the heck out of the forward reverse switch, then with the key off work the go pedal up and down about 25-30 times. Then take it for a spin and see if the problem still exists.

AllTrax is very helpful with issues such as this. You could call them and see what they say. If your controller is still under warranty they should work with you if they find an issue with it.

That may not be a bad idea. I didn't want to think it was a controller issue as it is 6-8 months old. Wasn't sure if something else would cause lack of top end, buzzer - like batteries or something else like other component.

I can't recall a controller failure related to reduced output. If you think it's a throttle problem - re-calibrate the throttle and check the results.

How to calibrate throttle?

Also the reason I was wondering about batteries. Seems every time I take off the charger the yellow light flashes once slowly. Tells me that the batteries are not fully charged but never had restricted power in the past.

Thoughts?

I was going to ask if on the first post when You said:

Did You mean the voltage dropped to about 40s?

If so that is pretty close to the default Low Voltage Setting on the controller.

The manual says it drops the power when that happens, but does not say anything about sounding the buzzer.

Since the manual is more generic, perhaps their Club Car IQ model in addition to blinking the error codes, sounds the buzzer as well.

Yes voltage. 40.something on full pedal take off. Around 49-ish(47-48s when not fully charged) after initial high amp draw. Still full throttle.

Thanks for the comments.
