What size nut for a 91 steering wheel?
91 club car ds. What is the size of nut that fits the threaded portion?
I took it off a while back and soaked the spline in pb blaster after a week the steering wheel just slides up and I want to replace the wheel here soon. Since then the nut grew legs and walked away. |

The 91 Illustrated Parts List doesn't say the size of the nut,
BUT... it shows that it uses a 5/8" flat washer under it. (pgs 3-2 & 3-2a) 92 and up use a 5/8-18 Nylock nut, no guarantees that it's the same!  |

So unfortunately the 5/8-18 did not work, But it was definitely the right starting point. I was able to find a 16mmx2.0 Nut and got it too work. I still appreciate the help Lockman1!
I have ordered a mystery steering wheel off ebay. Took a chance at the price since it is a billet wheel that needs work. I hope the adapter that is with it will work but if not that will be another challenge.  |
