Re: 09 precedent 3 clicks before any movement??
i have 3 different new mcors here. I have an mcor2, mcor3 and a mcor4.
All have the same exact result with the cart, no improvement with any of them. |

Re: 09 precedent 3 clicks before any movement??
Are you sure you want me to read the yellow and green wires?
On this adaptor, the green and blue are going to the microswitch, and the white, yellow and purple are going to the other part of the mcor |

The resistance thru the MCOR and it doesn't matter if the controller is in or out

Re: 09 precedent 3 clicks before any movement??
Sorry I didn't see your post about the wire colors before I answered. With all the changes I don't know how to answer. I found something else that might help you. Read this attachment and see if it helps.
2009 Vehicles that were converted from a TPS to an MCOR2 will have a small adapter (PHOTO ATTACHED) plugged into the MCOR. In IQ models, it's simply a plug designed to convert the 6 pin TPS connector to the classic style MCOR2 plugs. In Excel models, this adapter has three 461ohm resistors inside soldered into the three throttle wires. This adapter MUST BE in place or the Excel vehicle will not function properly. In 2008 and 2010-Present the resistors are soldered into the main wire harness and the adapter is not necessary. The picture is in the sticky's. |

Re: 09 precedent 3 clicks before any movement??
Thanks for helping me. Yes i did see daves sticky. As a matter of fact that is my picture that dave used in the sticky, of the adaptor.
I did measure the resistance on the mcor2 i have been using, and the resistance is more than 5 k between 2 different sets of the 3 pins. So i can rule out the mcors, the adaptor, the solenoid, that only leaves the wires and the controller, right? So i checked the wires, they are clean, no corrossion, and rang them out, all ok. That leaves the controller i guess. I think tomorrow i pull a controller from one of my other excel carts, and try swapping them , and see if the old controller will work in a different cart, and if a different controller will work in this cart that i am having problems with. This is a real hair puller, i don't know whatelse to look for. |

Re: 09 precedent 3 clicks before any movement??
Sergio, no i have not, because i removed the batteries and controller, to try the controller on a different cart tomorrow.
When i go to the shop tomorrow, i will try swapping controllers with a know good cart first, Then in the afternoon, when i get home ( where problem cart is), i will reinstall the controller, and then try your bypass. I will report back tomorrow evening. Thanks so much for all the help and following up guys!! |

Re: 09 precedent 3 clicks before any movement??
Sergio has you on the right track with your test procedures.... As for the HPD code staying in the controller, that's common for 09 Precedents that have been converted from a TPS to an MCOR. I was told by a tech rep at Club Car not to be concerned with it and that it will not affect the operation of the vehicle. In my experience, he's been correct.

Re: 09 precedent 3 clicks before any movement??
Today i swapped the controllers in 2 carts, and the original problem followed the original controller.
So once i put a know good controller on the bad cart, all was good. Strange, this is the first time i have seen a controller act like this. Thanks guys for the help, controller was the issue. |
