1991 EZGO Running Issues
My brother in law has 1991 EZGO cart. It ran great for him, however from time to time when he would stop it wouldn't start back up. We figured it was the starter/generator, so he bought one from the local EZGO store. That didn't fix the problem, so he ended up getting a new solenoid, battery and replaced the drive belt. The cart seems to be running better and doesn't stop as much, however from time to time when you are driving it, the motor just kills. However, when you let off the gas and re-push it down it takes right off. What could be causing this? Is there a way to diagnose it down to 1 thing?

Check for spark the next time it dies. Check it immediately (while the cart is still hot).

By taking your foot off the gas, and pushing back down, you are activating the pedal micro switch. I would start looking at that for loose connections, and corrosion.
