'79 Ezgo cylinder vs newer models
My Marathon is a '79 model with the EC25DS 244cc internal starter. I recently lost compression on it. I believe what caused it was last time I trailered it. The seat slid off and hit the accel pedal with the key on. So it was just cranking without starting. I don't know for how long. I think it polished the cylinder.
Wondering if the clyinder and piston from the 1980 -88 model are interchangeable. Or if just the piston and rings would work. I could have the jug bored oversize if needed. Thank in advance. |
