1992 EzGo rear clutch
So, after doing some testing on my new to me free golf cart, i wanted to test the belt and clutches and see where my problem may be. I had some up hill power loss (motor getting quiet and slowing down (at the moment of this post it is not fixed)). I removed the seat and went to test the golf cart on the hill by the pond. started up the hill until the back tires started the climb. I looked at the belt the clutch at the engine seemed tight and working. The rear one on the axle well... the inside part of the clutch was spinning with the belt, the out side was not all the time, it would start to catch and the cart would push forward then would stop.
I have been trying to do some research but came up inconclusive. Is this a bad clutch? Is it the spring problem that people replace with ones for higher torque (like lifted carts and stuff)? The side with the yellow mark is the one that does not spin trying to climb hills. 20180806_113611.jpg |
