J25 G1 Year/Model?

Evening Viewers,

I looked at a gas G1? today, serial number is J25-000430 but having searched both here and a lot of sites via Google, I can't find a reference to a J25 serial?

I've found J26 is G1E and J24 is G1A, both 1983 and that's about it.

my guess is the australian equivalent to the J24 making it an 83

check for a boost bottle on the intake port indicating it to be 83 and later

Here is the info I found about G1's

Yamaha – AKA = G1A
First built in late 1979 thru to 1989 the G1 was the beginning of something good. You can find the serial number under the golf cart towards the drivers side rear wheel.

That's the same as I found on numerous sites, no mention anywhere of a J25 so I assume given I'm in Oz that Mike is correct and it's an Aussie delivered serial #. I'm going to guess it's 1983 given it's one off the US built J24 of the same year. I very rarely see a G1, it's usually G16s and up for me and they all correlate to the US date/serial listings.
