Default Low speed Sputter

Hi, I have a 1983 Ez-Go, at low throttle 0-50% the cart sputters sounding like a weed wacker. 50% throttle and above it sounds great and runs great. Any Ideas? Someone said Reed Valve?

Is it a 2 or 4 stroke? If it's a 4 stroke, the carburetor might be half clogged up. Hope this helps!

Could be the pilot jet is clogged. Cleaning that requires removing and disassembling the carb. Is that within your skill level? Could be reed valve. Could be fuel quality. Are you premixing your fuel? What ratio?

i'm going to check the reed valve. I do premix the gas 1oz to 1 gal.

The info I have says 128:1, so yes 1 gallon gas: 1 oz oil. Be sure to check your owners manual to verify, and make sure to use the correct oil.

I can verify, yes that IS the correct mixture along with a 2-cycle oil. But what grade of gasoline are you using? The lower octane is what it wants 85-87, do Not use premium high octane.

What spark plug are you using? It needs to be an NGK BP5HS
