As a fellow Florida resident, If you are planning on running on the roads as well as off road (and planning to get it legal for the streets), I suggest you purchase a second set of Wheels and tires for running on the streets. I recently did a cart using the Jakes LT kit and put a set of Duro Scorchers on 12" rims and the cart runs like a dream down the road and looks sweet as all get out. When the customer went to get it "street legal" the DMV inspector told him that his tire choice was more appropriate than the normal knobbies she usually saw on carts attempting to become street legal.

Just had 6" Allsport Lift installed and it is great. We ride it through the woods, up and down hills, and on the street. Very good all around, especially for the price. Check them out on the web. They also have wheel and tire packages too. Good Luck!

Rabbitreborn Isn't there a Federal law that only "DOT" tires are legal on highways? I have seen a few DOT rated tires on carts and they were very expensive over cart tires and had what I would call auto type tread.

Please excuse the fact that this link isn't a site sponsor, but these are the "street" tires we put on his lifted E-Z-GO...... Personally I REALLY liked the look of them for a tall street rated tire.

Old Mec, technically, yes, but they tend to overlook it on golf cart LSV conversions.....

Can you post a side view of this car and tell me the specs on your lift and wheel/tire combo? How much ground clearance do you have now at the frame below the seat?

I own a 2007 Club Car President with the stock motor and stock controller and I installed the jakes long travel combo kit last year. I have about $1,400. in the kit to find out after installation I needed the heavy leaf springs and another $125.dollars later
I run my lift at 6inches but can change heigth really easy, I use my cart in town and also use it during deer season on trails and stock motor and controller work just fine.
I will step up bigger/better controller when the stock controller poops out.
