Question what is this an should it be hooked up to something??

this is the inside of my ole powerwise charger i took it apart to inspect it and found this black (switch box????) attached to the board with no wires hooked to it but it has spade connectors on it just wanted to know what went to it. thanks... -ZILLA

That's the relay. It turns the charger on when the minimum voltage is present from the battery pack. It appears someone has bypassed it, so the charger always turns on.

So what you're saying is That's the switch that would keep the charger from coming on if the pack voltage was too low????

But... where do these leads go to???? Because my black box has nothing hooked up to the spade connectors.... and secondly will this make the charger not cut off???? I have seen a lot of chargers on here that are opened up and have seen two separate control boards mine only has 1. maybe those are newer chargers.

Your charger looks hot wired.... does it shut off when it is done? I doubt it... do you have 2 black wires taped together somewhere close by

No it does it shut off scotty And yes I do have 2 black wires taped 2 gether.... okay scotty b where do they go????.....lol I guess to the little black box....

Well I hooked the wires up to the black box I got the specs from a wiring diagram for it but it does nothing it does not come on or anything WTH......( PAGING DOCTOR SCOTTY DOCTOR SCOTTY TO THE ER PLEASE)....LMAO ......HEEEELLLPPPPP!!!!!!!

It would appear that the relay is BAD, that's why it has been bypassed.
