Tire size question.....
At work we have a supply of 18x9.5x8 6-ply tires mounted on farm implement wheels. I was thinking of saving the tires and chucking the farm wheels. We could use the tires on our work fleet 2008 EZ-Go ST Sport II Dump Bed carts which currently use a 18x8.5x8 tire. I think it will work OK, but I was looking for advice from more experienced types. Like you.

Re: Tire size question.....
I know they would fit on a TXT style course-cart, but these dump-bed carts might be different somehow. I'm 99% sure it's OK, but I don't want to look the fool with the company's money, LOL.

Re: Tire size question.....
what the heck, try it on one. can't cost too much to mount and dismount a couple of tires. sure sounds like the would fit tho.

Re: Tire size question.....
I would think it's much like car tires. As long as you are within the allowable tolerance with respect to rim width, it should be fine. Do you know what the rim width of the farm wheel is? My guess would be, at worst, you would have some crowning of the tires. But, it the rim width is similar to the carts, that shouldn't be an issue.

Re: Tire size question.....
They'd go. Our orange ST came with 22s mounted on 10" steelies from EZGO. If there's enough tread left to make the dismount and remount worthwhile, go for it.

Re: Tire size question.....
Well, the question answered itself. Yes, they will fit the golf cart wheels, but when inflated the tread face has way too much crown for my liking. Might be ok in sand or mud like this, but on our golf course-like grounds they will leave marks and tear up turf. Thanx for everyone's comments, but these tires will not be used on our carts.
