82 Club Car Questions
All,
I am new to the forum and to Club Car's. I got this CC for $60 dollars, thinking I would get myself into a Club car. I then got it home and took the seat off. It has no batteries and I am clueless as to the wiring of batteries or what batteries to get and where? Three cables are marked with ducktape 1, 2 and 3. The plate on the electric engine says 36v. So questions i have is what type of batteries should i get and where? Does anyone know how many batteries I need? Finally, is there a diagram showing how to hook them up. Thanks for any assistance! CC serial number is A824838429. Pictures are below. |

Re: 82 Club Car Questions
well its a 36 volt resistor cart........you need six 6 volt golfcart batteries but you can put 3 12 volt batteries in for testing purposes only.............how much do you plan on spending to get it running? something tells me your gonna need more than just batteries........is there a charger with it?.............you should be able to find wiring diagram here in the stickies to at least help you with getting batteries wired right............................

Re: 82 Club Car Questions
I din't know what it would cost to get it up and running. I am mechanically sound but I have never messed with a Club Car before. No it does not have a charger. And i don't know where to get batteries except online. Advanceauto parts has Autocraft 6-volt batteries for $114 a piece. Is that a decent price? Are they good batteries?

Re: 82 Club Car Questions
Is it worth putting the $500 into the cart? What else could be wrong with it?

Re: 82 Club Car Questions
well its a simple setup, you have 5 solenoids, and a microswitch to activate each one, the F&R assb, and motor.......chances are motor should be good ( should be ) solenoids if they need replaced figure 20 bucks a pop......if the resistor coils on top of solenoids are good........your not gonna know much about any of that until you get power......can you borrow 3 12 volt batteries to drop in and see where your at?..................................
