Accu Power charger
Trying to get my fiancee's father's cart going. It's a newer EZGO but has a Club Car Accu Power charger.
First problem I see is a blown fuse, which has the part 8776 stamped on it. Finding that fuse was simple enough, but he took the dang fuse off and didn't mark any connections. Does anyone have a wiring diagram that will show me what goes where? Looks like I have a little blue wire coming off the plug wire, and two black wires coming off of the transformer. What is the best way troubleshoot this thing to find out what made the fuse blow? Fuses are $20 a pop, so I don't want to put a fuse in only to blow another one. Something made the fuse blow in the first place. |

Re: Accu Power charger
What year and which drive system is this cart? 36v I assume?
Brave man working on the fiance's father's cart without any prior experience... fix it you will be a hero, liable for the cart repairs forever ... fail and you will be the idiot who is marrying my daughter |

Re: Accu Power charger
Ezgo is a 36V, I'm guessing early 2000's. Fiberglass body, fwd/rev switch is on the dash next to the key switch. H401 on the plaque in passenger compartment.
I've fixed an old Total Charge charger (bad board) and have a 92 EZGO and a 75 Cushman, so not a total newb, but you're right, don't want to screw up the old man's ride! I know on my Total Charge I was able to bypass the timer to check to see if the problem was the board. Anyway to straight wire this accucharge and see if it will go? |

Re: Accu Power charger
FYI the only time I ever saw one of those fuses burnt was when the polarity got switched up.

Re: Accu Power charger
OK, that helps. I'm guessing the two black wires off of the transformer can go either way on the fuse?
Also, this diagram doesn't show the little blue and white wire that comes off of the plug. Is that unneccessary for this application? I also was looking at the cart and there is a red wire with white tracer coming out of the recepticle, and it is not hooked up anywhere on the battery end (have +, -, and the red/white wire, probably 12 ga, all coming off of the recepticle on the cart where you hook the charger up). Anybody know what that is? I'm wondering if it has something to do with the blue/white small wire coming off of the charger plug that isn't hooked up anywhere in the charger. |
