Default Stereo Installation 2010 EZGO PDS

Ok, The beginning of the installation.
I pulled the cup holders and removed the three back tabs that were holding it in. Cut the ball holder with a saws-all blade by hand. Installed the stereo sleeve and tested the stereo in place.
I did this without removing the cowl. But, even though it is a tight fit, there is still too much play. I'll need to rig a brace that I can install without removing the cowl. If I can't then I'll have to take off the cowl and get it done right.

Here are some pics.

Also, these questions may have been answered someplace else on the forum, but I'm unable to find them.
Anyone know what these cables are for?

Can you put a VOM meter on the red and see if you have voltage on it? It might have been for a VOLT gauge?

I think this is setup for the brake/turning lights. I have extra wires in the front and and rear on both sides.

Thanks Dawg....

I've purchased a 48v-36v to 12v 30amp reducer
9w/ switch) for power. I think I'll run it to the dash and install fuse block behind the cup holder.

I've still got a few questions about wiring this all up.

1. I have the key switch w/ lights and the wiring diagram, so where do I attach the red 12v switched power cable on the key switch?

2. What are people using as a "grounding block"? My goal is to run two wires from under the seat to the dash. One 12v to fuse block and one negative to grounding block. From this I can attached stereo, cigarette lighter, underbody glow.

Haven't thought about the antenna yet... But, like I said, I usually listen to mp3 (ipod, phone, etc...)

I have never wired up anything to the key switch, but I have seen people write on here how it is done.

I run my few accessories from a seperate 12v battery and mounted a fuse block which has both positive and ground buss on it.

Ok, got the stereo sitting tight now. I took a piece of flat bar, cut and shaped it to support the stereo from the bottom. I wrapped the end with enough friction tape. So now it's between the flat bar and the cowl. Drive down the high-line and it doesn't move...

If u leave the flat section in the ball holder it helps hold the radio, I think i cut too much out, i did same thing first time too.

Those wires are the stock harness for a turn signal and flasher. The stock turn signal hooks up to the big plug and the flasher hooks up to the two loose wires.
