Yes I have 18 - 12v 30AH deep cycle batteries in parallel/series config. They are Enersys Powersafe SBS30 high quality batteries used in aviation as main aircraft batteries. These retail for $272 each! My cost was $2 each because they are 2009 cells and the FAA says we have to replace them since they are SLA and no servicing possible according to the manufacture.
I expect them to last longer then even Trojans from the spec sheets. http://www.enersysreservepower.com/d...S-004_0610.pdf Today I put a bicycle speedometer on to measure my mileage. I calibrated the unit with my handheld gps so it's accurate and we just rode and rode around the neighborhood. I started with a full pack (39.2v again) and ran till it hit 36.0v and we traveled 23 miles! Love it 100%. |
