2006 Club Car Battery Replacement

My 2006 Precedent batteries still hold a charge but I can tell the cart is much slower.

I am thinking of replacing the batteries. Can someone direct me to a local retailer (near Cleveland, Ohio) and help with the installation process?

The batteries seem very tight in there. I am wondering what I would use to get the old ones out and new ones in there?

And what is approx cost of new batteries?

Please help. Thanks.

I just tried calling local batteries plus store. I explained I have batteries in there. (probably 12v) The say Trojan for Clubcar. The store telling me that Trojan does not carry 12v and they would need to call the vendor.

How can I tell what kind of batteries I have? Is there a part number or something I can give to the battery vendor?

I can't see anything from the top of the battery.

Please let me know. Thanks.

The Trojan battery is a T-1275.

I don't necessarily need this brand. I would think something equivalent in less expensive brand would be fine.

And the battery holder strap seems quite expensive? Any othe less expensive options?

Yes, they are 12volt. Not many companies make 12 volt golf cart batteries anymore. Those are probably the equivalent of the Trojan T-1275 I posted. Sam's club has a Duracell which will be less expensive. But, quite often with golf cart batteries, you get what you pay for.

you can use rope and tie it to corners

I have the same cart and just put 4 new T-1275's in my cart a couple of weeks ago. Yes the batteries are a tight squeeze but I worked the old ones out and new ones back in without any straps and I am not exactly a small guy with small hands. I paid $169 each for the batteries but had to take in my old ones to avoid core charges. I have found them as cheap as $152 each but would have to drive 4 hours each way to get them at that price.

I am not noticing much of a discount trying to buy them on my own compared to buying them from the local ClubCar dealer. The dealer is actually less which seems odd.

I guess part of the issue with be the shipping cost if I bought them from an out of state dealer.
