98 EZGO dcs won't start off on its own
Hello. I'm helping a friend with a 98 ezgo dcs. It has 22" tires and lifted but will not take off on its own unless you push it and then jump on. But get this, it will run 25 mph down the hwy once you get it going. I have upgraded the battery cables to 2ga. but no other upgrades. Batteries check good and connections are very clean, nothing getting hot that I can tell either. I have read for 4 hours on here but I can't find any similar problems. Any advice will be appreciated, thanks.

Re: 98 EZGO dcs won't start off on its own
Those are mighty tall tires for a stock DCS controller, so the controller may be bad, or it could be something like worn brushes in motor.
Also check for worn through insulation on F1&F2 cables were they are routed around battery frame. |
