Default Trailer hitch broke frame

Hey guys I bought one of those simple hitches that bolts to the angle iron
(aluminum)on the rear of my DS. It has no other supports to it. The hitch is a receiver style design. So one day with a standard receiver hitch on it I was crossing a ditch and the receiver part with the ball hug up on the ground. After several push and pulls and driving back and forth the angel piece that's part of frame broke the hangers off the frame, the same hangers that the rear leaf spring bolts to. Has anyone had this problem? I'm sure it can be welded back. What I'm looking for are some type of brace to make it stronger. Even before it broke the hitch seemed extremely weak and would bend down with little effort.

If bracing won't help, anyone have insight on a different hitch that maybe mounts to the I beams?

Thanks Russ

Well this too are upside down . The bottom of the I beam is the hanger for the leaf spring. When I click on picture it shows it correctly

Wow, just Wow!
Break on both sides? Yikes.
A GOOD aluninin Certified welder is what you're looking for.
You will most likely be fabbing your own hitch for i-beam connection. I have seen no such animal.
What are the 1/2" bolts for (in pics)? Were you trying to draw the split, together?

yes to draw the hangers back in place . I'm just gonna bring to welding shop, I cant weld aluminum, and get them to make braces and weld the do-do out of it
