What they are that they put in are tinned cable lugs. Standard size cables. Not 2. Not 4.

What they did not replace are the cables to the motor.

All cables should be replaced, unless you have an IQ cart, then two of the four motor cables can be left stock. would also help if you would let us know what cart you have, voltage, year, ect

On a sepex motor system like yours there are 2 of the 4 motor cables which are 10g not 4g. these 2 wires do not need to be up-sized. The other 2 to the motor are battery cable and do need to be up sized along with all the rest.....

Yes, the two 4 GA cables going to the motor should be upgraded along with the pack cables. Not the 10 GA ones.

I would think that if they don't need to be changed you would have to ask specifically for them to do the extra work.
If he made a mistake it was not letting u know he was changing only the high amperage cables that supply bulk amperage to the motor.

Keeping in mind that my basic experience with battery cables has been from MOPAR, Ford & GM. If one cable is going south, both are likely. Replace both. And they do wear out.

Scotty, I asked for 4 gauge cables. I got standard. I was going to just go ahead and order from you but I figured, what the *** and it was in their shop for batteries. I asked for 4 gauge wire. I did not get it. I asked why and the answer was I did not need it yet. Well, I could have paid 2 more and got what I wanted if I bought from you. So, kick me in the back end.

OK, that being said, Scotty, do y'all sell just the engine cables AND would it hurt to have 4 gauge (maybe they are already 4 gauge) there and not the rest? I feel like I may as well ride it out for a little.

By the way, I do have one of Scotty's battery gauges installed. It is helping immensely with the battery break in but that will be another thread.
