Re: Need a tire plugged??
All those tires we put patches in back in the 50s
and lit the glue to dry them didn't expand and shed the patch. Tire shop is full of baloney. |

I had a heck of a nail in my tire, and used a plug kit from Walmart... around $7 |

Re: Need a tire plugged??
Golf cart tires are not much different than lawn mower tires. I plugged three lawn mower tires last summer and have not had any problems with any of them.
The dealer ran over nails that were in the crate when they uncreated it. He gave me a good discount for the leaking tires. |

I've used slime in riding mower tires & golf cart tires with good results but if you ever do separate a tire & rim that has been "slimed" just remember it can create quite a neon green mess . |

Re: Need a tire plugged??
I had the same problems. Nothing would fix the flat. I kept putting plugs in it. The thing that fixed both flats I've had is a can of Fix A Flat from WalMart.

Re: Need a tire plugged??
Where are you located? Check the local cart shops. The ones around me have piles of used golf cart tires with rims that they have taken off customers carts to do lifts, upgraded wheels etc. They will probably give you one

Re: Need a tire plugged??
Thanks Guys!!!
The tire is at the shop now, being patched. Should know by lunch time if all went well. The screw was all the way through the tire and the shop seemed confident that they could fix it. BTW, it's a 22 inch off road tire, not a standard cart tire.... Will post once I get the tire back. |

Tire got patched with no issues. $21.00. I'll take it. Now lets see how it holds up......
