Chances are the switch is failing. EZ-Go did not use a relay setup for their headlights so all the current goes through that switch. If the cart has a toggle switch on the controller cover, flip it to Tow. Now, to remove the switch, gently push in the center pins on the rivets holding the switch plate. On the switch it self there will be 4 connections. The light circuit should be labeled B1 and L. Turn them on for a while until they fail. Then you can run a quick jumper between these and if they come back on, bad switch

Also, you may be able to fish out the rivet center pins from behind the dash but be gentle, no telling what you might find in there.

Yeah, my nephew had a 5 foot black snake come rolling out of the ball holder one day. Definitely got his attention
