Bite the bullet and get an Alltrax DCX controller, it will provide more amps (more torque). And it will also unlock all the speed potential of your current motor, as a bonus,it is fully programmable to accomidate any sepex motor you may want to throw at it in the future (your stock controller is not). You can also tune the acceleration and braking to your liking.
