08 Precedent pedals sticking?
Hey guys, my cart has both the go and stop pedal sticking. I have tried to spray with WD-40 but they both hang up really bad. If you are driving and let off the gas It doesn't return at all. It's like having cruise control but is a real saftey hazard when you need to stop. Both pedals have to be pulled back with your foot to get the brake and throttle off. Anybody know a fix?
Thanks! |

Re: 08 Precedent pedals sticking?
Hey Steve, I think the return springs are working fine? The pedals do take a bit to move back and forth. After I sprayed them I worked them back and forth a bunch and they do not move with ease. Something other than the spring I think. |

Re: 08 Precedent pedals sticking?
You're probably going to have to replace the pedal group with a new one. The old ones had that trouble. I'm guessing yours is an early 08. When the Gen2 pedal group came out later that year they addressed this issue. I've never been able to successfully free one up once it started sticking.

Oh well, I guess when someone hits or runs out in front of a car WOT because they can't stop and dies, maybe they will think the recall would have been cheap:)
