All cables have been upgraded to 4 gauge. Batteries are the most amps an hour that I could find(190). Not worried about how long they will go for. I want to take advantage of what I have, including the 400 amp controller. The stock motor only pulls 50 amps on flat ground and 70 amps going up a slight incline. The 5 hp from a CC Villagers sounds like what I need.

Have you checked the controller setup to make sure it is not limiting the armature amps?

Got off the phone with Rick at Plum Quick and he will build a motor for me with a 25% increase speed and 25% increase in torque. That sounds to good to be true. I am going to drive up there Thursday. 3 1/2 hour drive. I will post my results after I have ran it a few times.

25% sounds like a lot but in reality it's 3.5 MPH that will get you up to 17.5mph.

Picked up my Bandit motor today. A day early. The motor outperformed my expectations. The battery pack is only on the 4th charging cycle and should improve over time. Hit 21 mph on flat pavement and maintained 19 mph up a slight incline. The people at Plum Quick are fantastic down to earth people. Two thumbs up.
