Default need snap ring pliers for 97 ds rear axle

Could they have made this any harder? Trying to change rear axle bearings on a 97 DS cart.

After pulling the drum, the f bombs started

So far have tried the cheap harbor freight snap on pliers, the decent Channel lock brand, but the 90 degree blades are not long enough.

Tonight I went to autozone and they had a set of what they "heavy duty OEM", so I bought them, and will try them tomorrow.

Meanwhile, can someone recommend a 90 degree heavy duty snap ring plier that they have actually used on a club car axle?

Dont try the ones with removable heads. They will piss you off. I use a pair of "blue point" I bought off eBay. They look old.

Snap-on makes a good pair. That's what I use.

I will check out snap on. By the way bluepoint is tied in with snap on. I rebuild a lot of tool batteries for snap on dealers, and they send in a lot of bluepoint batteries.

If David uses snap on pliers, then I don't need to look any farther

Thanks guys

FYI even with good pliers it's still a pain.

Diddo on Snapon. The trick is to close one eye and push your tongue against the opposite cheek to get the ring off.

Seriously another thing that helped was wearing that miners light thing - that put the light in the hole.......
